Stop Golf Grip Slippage In Hot Weather By Doing This

Is there anything worse than swinging a golf club and feeling the golf grip slipping in your hands? Because the normal outcome when your golf grip slips is a terrible shot. And unless you're tiger woods it's very hard to stop your swing when you're half way down to the ball.

I have no idea how tiger does that!

Anyway, if the weather is very hot and humid the chances of your grip slipping as you're swinging goes way up. also, if you're playing in the rain then naturally the chances of your grip slipping as you make your golf swing go up as well.

But there are simple solutions to this problem which don't have to cost you anything. And the first solution is a dry towel.

When you play golf you should carry at least 1 extra golf towel. Ideally you should carry two extra golf towels however. And if you're getting hot and sweaty or it's raining then before and after every golf shot you should be wiping your golf grips and hands with one of your dry towels.

also, if it's raining you'll obviously have your umbrella up so I suggest that you keep your towel under the umbrella to try and keep it dry for as long as you can. Then when your towel is not doing a good enough job then simply put it back in your golf bag and get another dry towel out.

Now here's a neat trick.

Every two or three holes simply get some sand from the bunkers (or from the little buckets they give you to put in divots) and rub some of the sand on your hands and on your golf grips. This will help to absorb the sweat and it will help you to keep a firm golf grip as you're swinging.

Important Note: If you're a women reading this you may prefer to take talcum powder with you and put this on your hands instead of sand.

So the next time you play a game of golf where it is possibly going to rain or be hot and humidor heaven forbid.both at the same time! Then make sure you take at least two towels and try your best to keep them dry. Then every golf hole or two put some sand on your hands and on your grips. Doing these little things will help you to keep your golf grip secure as you're swinging the golf club. Because again, there's nothing worse than going to play a golf shot and having your hands feel as though they are going to slip on the golf grip, is there?

Professional golfer Nick Bayley has found just one golf swing fault that could be stopping you from ball striking consistency and success. But now you can take a simple 2 minute golf swing test to see if you have this swing fault or not. Go here to take The Golf Swing Test now.

The Hero Revealed

Heroes and their stories make up a large body of literature. From our early childhood we have been enthralled by the adventures of brave souls who have done great deeds. Most times, these folk have been much like us. They lived lives of mundane existence and we can identify with that. But one day, something special happened, one day the adventure began.

So it was with Tolkiens The hobbit, which is a great introduction to the amazing trilogy The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit transports you into the mindset of the rest of Tolkiens works, much as A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man enables you to understand Ulysses, the magnum opus of James Joyce.

As the heroic story begins, there is nothing about the hobbit that would forecast the drama to come. But come it does, with almost too much intensity for the hapless hobbit, or the enchanted reader. There are many adventures on the path, with much testing and challenge. Lady luck intervenes at times, until at last; our hero-in-the-making is confronted with the ultimate encounter, the Dragon. This, the last battle, is neither quick or of certain outcome. The Dragon has fearsome physical and magical powers. Our hero now, for that is what he has become, must bring all his courage, his cunning, his physical and psychic strength to the confrontation.

The struggle is long and arduous. just when it seems that all is lost and the dragon will triumph, the hobbit reaches deep within for one last bit of courage that even he did not know was there. Clutching his sword with a confidence gained from all his previous trials, one last lunge finds a fatal spot, the dragon crashes to earth.

The story would be unsatisfactory if it ended there. The author lets us follow our victorious hero home, to spend his days reflecting on his adventures, with his pipe and contentment. He realizes that the path took him through the dark night of his own inner being. He remembers that guidance was always with him, encircling him like a soft wind.

The heros saga is presented to us often, in ancient as well as modern guise. Whether using sword, Kalishnikoff or light saber, the struggle is the same. The courage to overcome can only be found within. Frank Lloyd Wright remarked that there was nothing about the caterpillar that would indicate it would become a butterfly. So it was with our hobbit friend. By overcoming his fears he found a hero, waiting to be wakened. And may it be so, with each of us.

My Own Bowflex Treadclimber - is it Exercise Equipment or an Excuse Eliminator?

Eliminating excuses is the first step on the path to physical fitness. This may be easier said than done...oops, that is also an excuse! We all have the same 24 hours in a day, and the body we were born with. Yet, people vary greatly in terms of fitness level. Why is that? Because the physically fit don't let lame excuses interfere with their commitment to their health.

Don't let the usual excuses keep you from starting, and sticking with, a reasonable exercise regimen:

1. "The gym is too far away/there isn't gas in the car/my cute workout clothes are dirty...{blah, blah, blah}"

Having your own exercise equipment, in your own domain, removes this line of reasoning. Forget commuting and work out at home. Not being willing or able to go somewhere doesn't have to get in your way.

2. "I don't have time to work out."

working out will increase your energy, which will actually give you more time in your day, not less. And if you choose your exercises to give the most efficient workout, then 30 minutes, 3 times a week should be quite beneficial. That is possible by choosing fitness equipment that offers a variety of exercises, like the Bowflex Treadclimber, or a home gym that has multiple stations.

If you can't spare 30 minutes, 3 times a week for your own health, what on earth do you have time for?

3. "It hurts."

Exercise should never hurt -- ever. Instead of giving up on exercise altogether, do low-impact activities. One way to ease stress on your knees and feet, for example, is to work out in water. Also, some exercise machines provide a similar effect. The Bowflex climber has "dual-treadles" that come up to meet your feet, which some say feels like walking in water.

It is important to always consult with a health care professional before starting any exercise routine, to ensure the activities you choose are appropriate. After all, the point is to get healthier, not injure yourself.

4. "working out is boring."

No one said you had to do the same exercise over and over, until you're bored. Change it up a bit. Vary your routine to include your exercise machine three times a week, a brisk walk or jog twice a week, and swimming or yoga another once or twice a week. Your exercise equipment can also keep you from getting bored by enabling numerous different exercises (see #2).

5. "I'm too old to get in shape."

This might be the conclusion you draw if your exercise equipment doesn't offer you adjustable settings, to match the intensity to your current fitness level. That can lead to feelings of discouragement and keep you from wanting to continue. The Bowflex Treadclimber has adjustable settings and speeds, to customize your workout. After about six weeks, you'll probably feel younger, not older!

6. "It's not possible to look that good {as in before/after pictures or the bodies featured in commercials}."

No one can guarantee how you will look, at a higher level of fitness. But if you're getting healthier and have a good chance of looking a lot better, isn't it worth doing it anyway? Optimum health is the goal, better looks are a pleasant side effect. Think of it that way, and you won't feel so down when a six-pack doesn't appear in a week.

7. "But I don't need to lose any weight."

weight loss is only one element to getting in better shape. There's also: getting stronger, increasing energy and stamina, better posture, staving off "old age", and reducing your risk of certain illnesses. Also, your weight may be redistributed in a more attractive way. Then there's the best reason to work out: fun! If you enjoy your workout, you'll do it more often, and will get more and more fit.

Excuses can be a way of postponing things you know you need to do. So eliminate them, one at a time!
